Bearys Group organizes ‘Clean Beach Green Kodi’ initiative on the dual occasion of World Green Building Week 2022 and International Coast Clean-up Day.
On the auspicious occasion of the ‘World Green Building Week 2022’ and as a part of the International Coast Clean-up Day program in response to the Central Government’s call to ensure ‘Swacch Sagar – Surakshit Sagar’, the Bearys Group of Institutions, Kodi, organized a ‘Clean Beach – Green Kodi’ initiative on Saturday, 17th September 2022 at Kodi beach, Kundapura, Udupi District.
The initiative was spearheaded by Mr. Syed Mohamed Beary, Chairman of the Bearys Group in coordination with Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). IGBC is a frontrunner in the Indian Green building movement and Bearys Group, founder member of IGBC is an industry leader in Sustainable development in India.
Students of the Bearys Group of institutions at Kodi, undertook a rally displaying placards and calling out slogans in support of a clean environment emphasizing the people’s responsibility towards maintaining hygiene & respecting the environment. Mr. Abdul Rehman, President of the Bearys Group of Institutions, launched the rally.
The clean beach initiative which began last year has become an ongoing monthly event with the active participation of students, parents, faculty, and the local community since then.
