Google Developer Group Inauguration at Bearys Institute of Technology

Mangaluru: The Google Developer Group (GDG) was officially inaugurated at Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT) in an event celebrating innovation, technology, and opportunities for student growth. The event was organized by Dr. Abdullah Gubbi, Head of the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department.

The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. S.I. Manjur Basha, followed by insightful remarks from Dr. Aziz Mustafa, Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department. Dr. Abdullah Gubbi, in his address, highlighted the significance of joining professional societies and how active involvement can play a pivotal role in shaping successful careers in technology.

Dr. Mujawar, Head of the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI&DS) Department, emphasized the value of writing research papers based on student projects, urging them to contribute to both academic and professional communities.

Ms. Thaseen from the ECE Department served as the master of ceremonies, ensuring the smooth progression of the event. The inauguration also featured an inspiring session by the startup Challenger, focused on building drones for the greater good, motivating students to leverage technology to address real-world challenges, with active support from professional communities like Google Developer Groups. The event was met with great enthusiasm from both students and faculty, setting the stage for continued learning and development.
