Workshop On Advancing Net Zero

The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) conducted a workshop on the ‘Concepts of Advancing Net Zero’ – Net Zero Buildings and Built Environment for Mitigating Climate Change Measures’ on 14th December 2022 at Hotel Taj Yeshwantpur, Bengaluru.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Syed Beary, Founder & CMD, Bearys’ Group, spoke about the need for addressing the growing demand for energy consumption in buildings and reducing the environmental impacts, thus creating a roadmap for achieving Net Zero. He explained how adopting a Net Zero approach enhances building value & marketability, creating a high-performance asset to users and investors alike. The Bearys’ Group building – BGRT (Bearys Global Research Triangle) is India’s first LEED Platinum certified research park from Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) and USGBC.

The workshop was the first among a series of such workshops organized by IGBC, across India, which are designed to enhance awareness on strategies involved in designing and developing a roadmap for Net Zero Buildings. The intention was to target key stakeholders including Government representatives, Corporates (IT/ITES), Senior Industry Stakeholders (representees from manufacturing industries), key faculties from premier institutions like IITs, NITs, subject experts such as architects, consultants, developers, owners, and corporates.
